New York Fed-ECB Conference on Nonbank Financial Institutions 2026

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the European Central Bank jointly sponsor this one-day conference to stimulate discussion and advance understanding of nonbank financial institutions (NBFIs) and their activities. Topics include vulnerabilities in the NBFI sector, prudential regulation of NBFIs, private credit, linkages between banks and nonbanks, and the role of NBFIs in monetary policy transmission. It is an in-person, invitation-only event at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, open to the public virtually.
