I am a Consultant Physician and health system strategist with >20 years of international experience across the UK, Europe & Asia. My work sits at the intersections of clinical excellence, health policy, academic leadership & health systems improvement. Clinically, I specialise in diabetes, obesity, endocrinology & internal medicine with extensive experience managing complex, long-term metabolic disease & cardiometabolic risk. I am board-certified in the UK (CCT) & in Asia (Malaysian NSR) & bring frontline credibility combined with a systems-level perspective on chronic disease management. Beyond clinical practice, I have served as a Clinical Advisor at the UK Department of Health & Social Care & as an Advisor to the Welsh Assembly Government’s Strategy & Policy Unit. My policy portfolio has included national quality and productivity reform (QIPP), service reconfiguration, national cancer strategy and addressing unwarranted variation (NHS Atlas).
