Ahmed Abdulgawad

Dr Ahmed Abdulgawad is a haematologist by training. He has 10 years of experience in CAR-T clinical research. Ahmed is currently leading the cell therapy program at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust across standard and experimental indications. He works closely with medical oncology colleagues to expand cell therapy offering beyond haematology. Dr Abdulgawad is the CI of 2 cell therapy trial, PI of 14 other trials and a Sub-I in over 30 early phase trials with cutting edge research. He is an active member of various national cell therapy groups with a special interest in expanding CAR-T through decentralised UK manufacturing as well as ambulatory delivery of CAR-T
