Alexander von Meyer

Alexander von Meyer heads the Institute for Laboratory Medicine at Barmherzige Brüder Hospital and Klinikum Dritter Orden, Munich. Trained at TU Munich, he holds an MBA with a thesis on Lean/Six Sigma lab optimisation. He focuses on pre- and postanalytics, lab automation, process optimisation, POC testing, and lab economics. He chairs EFLM's C-PRE committee and DGKL's Extra-analytical Quality group, and lectures internationally on pre- and postanalytics, automation and sample stability.
