Andy Doré
Head Of Structural Biology, Isomorphic Labs
Andy is Head of Structural Biology at Isomorphic Labs. He earned his DPhil with Prof. Sir Tom Blundell at the University of Cambridge, followed by a postdoc at the Institute of Cancer Research in London with Prof. Laurence Pearl where he worked on NHEJ DNA repair apparatus and checkpoint complex structures respectively. Following this he moved into industry, founding Structural Biology at Heptares Therapeutics (Sosei Heptares / Nxera). Across 13 years as Head of Crystallography working with integral membrane proteins, specifically GPCR’s, he and his group delivered multiple landmark first-in-class structures for Class B (CRF1R/GLP-1R) and Class C (mGluR5) GPCRs yielding eight Nature publications and helping to advance 14 novel drug candidates to clinic. He subsequently served as VP and Head of Structural Sciences at CHARM Therapeutics, pairing 3D deep learning with structural biology to unlock and drug challenging oncology targets. His work at Isomorphic, and that of his team, now sits
