Antonio Salgado

António Salgado is a biologist with a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and a DSc in Health Sciences from the University of Minho. Currently he is Vice-Rector for Research and Science Policy at the University of Minho, where he also serves as Coordinating Investigator at ICVS-School of Medicine. His research focuses on CNS repair, particularly spinal cord injury and Parkinson’s disease, using stem-cell secretome-based therapies.
