Arnaud Lager

Arnaud Lager is the Founder and CEO of Decahydron, a frontier energy company that made the world's first discovery of a free gas phase natural hydrogen reservoir in Sharjah, UAE. With 3,900 km² of mineral rights secured across four UAE jurisdictions and operations extending to Oman and Greece, Decahydron is pioneering both natural hydrogen extraction and CO₂ mineralisation in ultramafic rock formations. Arnaud brings 25+ years of subsurface engineering experience from TotalEnergies, ADCO, BP, and CEPSA, with deep expertise in reservoir geochemistry, CCUS, and EOR. At ADCO he led the technical work for Al Reyadah, the UAE's first commercial-scale CO₂ injection project. He is an SPE Engineer of the Year and Distinguished Lecturer, and has spoken at COP28 and the World Economic Forum in Davos.
