Betsy Greer

Since 2003, I’ve explored how craft can foment positive change, amplify voices, and deepen personal agency through writing, workshops, and my own creative practice. I believe that the act of making is an act of becoming your own lighthouse. I’ve written two books (Knitting for Good! and Craftivism: The Art of Craft and Activism), taught embroidery workshops, and lectured about craftivism at universities, museums, and art institutions throughout North America and Europe. The main crux of my craft work is helping people feel empowered by and trust in their own creative ideas.
