Bijan Khazai

Dr. Bijan Khazai is Co-Founder and CEO of Risklayer GmbH and Hotel Resilient, with over 20 years of experience in climate and disaster risk management. As a World Bank consultant, he works at the intersection of tourism resilience, sustainable development, and investment planning. At Risklayer, he leads initiatives helping tourism destinations assess climate risks, changing suitability and seasonality, and identify resilience and investment priorities. Formerly at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Columbia University, and Kyoto University, he holds a PhD from UC Berkeley.
