My team is investigating inter-organ dynamics in physiology and disease. We aim to uncover the rules that govern nervous system control of the formation, maintenance, and physiology of organs important for sustaining metabolic health. We are currently investigating how neural fine-tuning of the hormone producing pancreatic islets allow for tight glucose regulation in the zebrafish model.
