Christian Schneidermeier

Christian Schneidermeier is a qualified sports economist, and since February 2025 is the Director of the European Outdoor Group, the federation which claims to be the voice of the European Outdoor sector. Having grown up by Lake Tegernsee, Schneidermeier’s chosen career path in sales and marketing took him away from his hometown. Stations of his professional life have included Gore Bike Wear, the Olympic Training Center in Tauberbischofsheim, and the Beach- Volleyball Masters. A desire to live closer to the mountains again is what brought Schneidermeier to Taufkirchen. He began in Ortovox’s sales department in 2001, after which he took over and successfully developed the ORTOVOX avalanche seminars segment. His other responsibilities within the company have included the press and marketing department, management of the sales division, and brand management, alongside founder and company owner Gerald Kampel.
