Christine Casey

Christine provides talks, demos and workshops focussed on both local heritage crafts such as spinning, crochet, knitting and weaving, and on Scandinavian crafts including nalbinding, lucet braiding, peg loom and rya weaving. She learned to knit when She was 6, crochet at 8, and since then has become proficient in a wide range of textile skills. Christine has extensive experience in running crafts workshops, and regularly collaborates with, and run workshops for other organisations including local Councils, charity and community groups. Her focus is on our heritage crafts, and she has been developing skills and workshops to deliver Scandinavian crafts, reflecting our Viking heritage.
