Damian Croft

After earning an MA in Social Anthropology from SOAS, Damian Croft spent several years in the early nineties living and working in Ankara. During his time there, he learned Turkish and travelled widely across Anatolia — though not to the South-East, which was off-limits at the time. Two decades later, he finally returned to explore the region. In the years in between, he has worked as a tour guide in Sicily, founded the tour company Esplora Travel, and published four volumes of Turkish short story translations, continuing to bridge cultures through travel and literature.
