Dan Milgate

Dan is a proud father to three boys and a former semi-professional cricketer which brought him to England from Australia. He is armed with 19 years of grounds management experience. He trained at Riseholme College and has a Level 3 diploma in Horticulture and Sports Turf Care. He started his career in golf and then moved to a head groundsman position at a Championship League club. He then led a dedicated team of specialist turf delivers across golf and football and oversaw the installation of hybrid playing surfaces at Wembley Stadium and Premier League Clubs such as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. He later joined the GMA as the Regional Pitch Advisor for London the South East, Jersey and Guernsey. Within this role, he leads educational workshops, advises local sports clubs on grass pitch maintenance, and assists with Football Foundation funding opportunities.
