Daniel Denning

Dr Daniel Denning is Innovation Manager at Viper Innovations Ltd, where he leads the company's move into defence and the adaptation of its proven subsea electrical integrity technologies for naval, undersea and critical infrastructure applications. With over a decade at Viper, Dan has developed cable condition monitoring and self-healing insulation technologies that sustain unattended subsea systems for global energy operators. He now applies that experience to platform availability, through-life sustainment and the protection of critical undersea infrastructure, working with prime contractors, allied innovation programmes and the wider UK and AUKUS defence community. He has spoken on protecting undersea critical national infrastructure at maritime dual-use technology forums. Dan holds a Doctor of Engineering from the University of Glasgow and is a Chartered Engineer in electrical, electronic and systems engineering.
