Daniel Steenstra

Daniel Steenstra combines three domains that rarely meet in one person: clinical training across the full medical curriculum at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam; eleven years as a professional designer at Carrozzeria Michelotti and Jaguar Cars, including project managing the interior design of the Jaguar XK8; and a career in healthcare transformation spanning NHS-embedded innovation leadership, academic research, and international teaching. He was RAEng Visiting Professor in Medical Innovation at Cranfield University, Associate Fellow at the University of Warwick where he taught design thinking to engineers for twenty-five years, and Chief Scientist at OnKai Inc, developing AI to address healthcare equity in underserved populations.
