Daniel Weil

Daniel Weil is Managing Director of TICQ, a consultancy that helps SMEs, start-ups and academic innovators bring their technologies into defence service. Daniel brings more than 26 years of Royal Navy service as an Air Engineer Officer, spanning front-line operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, in-service capability management and pan-defence innovation. His final roles were Chief Aircraft Engineer for the Commando Helicopter Force, Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager for the Merlin Mk4/4A, and Royal Navy Co-Director of the London Tech Bridge, the US Navy–Royal Navy initiative that partners with industry on shared technology challenges. Earlier, he sat on the Military Aviation Authority's Design Approved Organisation Scheme board for aircraft modifications, and led the engineering for Wildcat AH Mk1 fielding.
