Danielle Harper

Danielle received her PhD in Dr. Peter Greer’s lab within the Sinclair Cancer Research Institute at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. During her PhD, Danielle studied the effects of genetic disruption of calpain-1 and calpain-2 on triple-negative breast cancer metastasis. With the support of a Wales Cancer Research Centre (WCRC) Career Starter Award, Danielle joined Professor Gonzalez’s lab at Swansea University in April 2026 to continue studying calpain in the context of ovarian cancer.
