Darren Cawkill

Darren Cawkill is Vice-President and Program Leader at Apollo Therapeutics. He joined Apollo at the outset as a founding scientist in 2016. Previous to that he completed his PhD at University of Leeds and moved to Pfizer where he worked for 18 years in pre-clinical small molecule drug discovery. His specialist area is in vitro pharmacology, designing assays and screen sequences to drive projects through hit ID to Candidate. At Apollo, Darren works with partner Universities to scout and identify promising new targets, bringing them into Apollo to lead collaborative industry-standard drug discovery campaign through to Candidate and on into the clinic.
