David Colindres was born in Honduras into a family whose connection to aviation spans generations. From an early age, he was immersed in the world of aircraft, international operations and aircraft registries, developing a passion for aviation that would ultimately shape his professional career. He pursued his higher education at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, focusing on International Business and Marketing. His academic background, combined with his early exposure to the aviation industry, provided the foundation for a career centred on aircraft registration, regulatory compliance, international aviation and customer service. David began his professional career working alongside his father, Sir Jorge Colindres, widely known throughout the industry as the “Godfather of Aircraft Registries” and the founder of The Registry of Aruba.
