David Powell MIET

David obtained a degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in electrical machines at the University of Sheffield in 1997 and 2003, respectively. He subsequently coordinated the Rolls Royce University Technology Centre where he specialised in the development of highly integrated electrical machines for marine and aerospace. In 2008 he joined Magnomatics and led motor and actuator developments for aerospace and marine applications. He has over 40 journal and conference papers and numerous patents in the field of motors and magnetically geared machines.
