David Weatherall

David Weatherall has worked on the policy issues around energy and decarbonisation in homes for over 20 years. At BRE, he coordinates the organisation’s input to UK government across multiple policy areas relevant to the built environment. Prior to BRE, he led strategy and policy analysis projects for public bodies and major organisations as a consultant, and, before that, was Head of Policy at the Energy Saving Trust. David has particularly championed action to ensure the benefits of the energy transition are delivered in harder-to-reach buildings like blocks of flats and SME premises; this has included work as a Knowledge Exchange Fellow at Oxford University Law Faculty on the property law aspects of this challenge.
