Dorothea Böken
University of Cambridge
Dorothea Böken is a Junior Research Fellow at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, working with Prof Sir David Klenerman. Her research lies at the interface of chemistry, biophysics, and neuroscience, focusing on the role of tau aggregation in AD, PSP, and TBI. She develops single-molecule approaches, including super-resolution imaging and ultrasensitive biochemical assays, to characterise nanoscopic tau aggregates in human brain tissue and biofluids. Her work aims to better understand disease-specific tau pathology and identify molecular signatures that may support biomarker development and therapeutic targeting.
