Doug Poole

Doug Poole, CEO of the UK Golf Federation, brings four decades of experience and knowledge gained across almost every area of the golf industry. Initially a PGA member, he spent many years working in golf and travel, including serving as Director of Golf for British Airways and owning his own travel companies. He later became a franchise owner and Managing Director of Golfsmith Europe, distributing major golf club brands and Greg Norman clothing. Doug has also held several influential positions within golf, including serving as a Board Member of England Golf and the Golf Foundation, and as Chair of the British Golf Industry Association. Now, as CEO of the UK Golf Federation, Doug represents more than 1,100 proprietary and commercial golf facilities across the UK – all of which use water for irrigation
