Dr. Ahmed Youssef

Ahmed Youssef is CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority under Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, bringing over 24 years of experience across public- and private-sector leadership. His previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer, Chief of Staff and Official Spokesperson, and Undersecretary at the Ministry, alongside senior strategy, marketing and commercial positions at Syngenta, ExxonMobil and SONY. His expertise spans tourism strategy, destination branding, marketing, public policy and organizational transformation. He has also served on the boards of leading national cultural, tourism and aviation institutions, including the Grand Egyptian Museum and Egyptian Airports Company. Ahmed holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
