Dr. Ben M.W. Illigens

Dr. Ben M.W. Illigens is a physician-scientist, educator, and healthtech executive, serving as CEO of Data4Life, a non-profit supported by the Hasso Plattner Foundation. He brings over 15 years of leadership in clinical research, real-world evidence, and digital health, and has overseen the design and execution of multinational clinical trials across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. A former Instructor in Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, he has taught in the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health since 2013 and is Scientific Director of the M.Sc. in Clinical Research at Dresden International University. His work focuses on scalable, privacy-preserving data infrastructure and ethical, patient-centered health ecosystems.
