Dr. Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu

Dr Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu is Deputy General Manager at the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), where she leads destination development, sustainable tourism, and tourism product development across gastronomy, culture, sports tourism, MICE, and beyond. She spent fourteen years at the İstanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau as General Manager, leading the public-private model that took İstanbul into the global top ten congress destinations, and then served as ICCA’s Regional Director for Europe. She sits on the boards of UN Tourism Affiliate Members and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). She holds a PhD in public relations.
