Dr. Jennifer Creaser

Dr Jennifer Creaser is the Lead Data Scientist at National Grid Electricity Distribution, where she leads a team building production ML and AI solutions for the UK's energy network, from predictive maintenance models delivering six-figure savings, to Generative AI pipelines and a full MLOps platform on AWS. A mathematician by training with a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Jen spent over a decade in academic research applying machine learning and time series analysis before transitioning into the energy sector in 2022 to tackle climate change and Net Zero challenges with data. In four years she has risen from Data Scientist to Lead, and established the National Grid and Women in Data brand partnership. She was a Women in Utilities Rising Star Award finalist in 2024. Jen believes in fostering inclusive, innovative teams where diverse perspectives drive better outcomes.
