Dr. Johanna Hutchinson

Dr Johanna Hutchinson joined BAE Systems in August 2023 as our Group Chief Data Officer, to deliver the data strategy and drive greater business value from our investment in data, AI, analytics and other disruptive technologies. Johanna is a recognised UK industry specialist, with a focus on delivering value into business transformations through enabling analytics, data and AI. Whilst in the Civil Service she worked across statistic production, tax and pension regulations disciplines. Most notably she built and led the analytics capability in the intelligence arm of UK Health Security Agency, where she was the Director of Analytics and Data Science, here she led the build of modelling and analytical capabilities for the pandemic responses and associated health threats. As well as being a keen and active advocate for data, she enjoys adventure travelling and lives on the Isle of Wight with her husband and two teenage sons.
