Dr Sally Cullen

Sally Cullen is a small animal vet at Wallace Vets on the north-east coast of Scotland, having qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2021. She has a particular interest in chronic pain and acupuncture, having completed the WVAG Foundation Acupuncture and Chronic Pain courses, with plans to complete certification in both areas. Alongside her clinical work, Sally has developed a strong passion for improving Extra-Mural Studies (EMS) for veterinary students. What began as an attempt to improve the structure and experience of EMS within her own practice has grown into a wider project across XL Vets. Over the past year, she has presented on the current challenges facing EMS and practical ways practices can improve their approach, while leading an XL Vets working group focused on supporting practices to coordinate placements and provide a more consistent and valuable experience for students.
