Dr Simon Elmer is a seasoned innovation leader with a 30-year career in developing consumer goods, including the last eight years with William Grant & Sons creating new products for premium spirit brands such as Glenfiddich, The Balvenie and Hendrick’s Gin. His work spans both NPD and Innovation, reflecting a passion for bringing new technology and deep consumer insight together through early design thinking and into full industrialisation. With a scientific foundation and a PhD in Electronic Materials & Computational Physics, Simon began his career at P&G Beauty R&D, where he spent 22 years leading global packaging development for luxury fragrance brands including Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. He is widely recognised across the luxury industry for his ability to collaborate with world-class designers, translating creative vision into commercially viable products while maintaining a rigorous balance between cost, value and consume
