I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, researcher and technology specialist with extensive experience spanning advanced materials, additive manufacturing and product development. My career combines academic research with hands-on industrial engineering, enabling me to bridge fundamental materials science and practical engineering applications. My specialist expertise includes metal powder characterisation and metal additive manufacturing of alloys for various industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, etc. I have developed components for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and have extensive experience in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), materials characterisation, heat treatment and manufacturing validation.
