Elise Wortley

Elise Wortley is an adventurer, writer, speaker and founder of Woman with Altitude, a community project promoting greater visibility for women in the outdoor space today. Through the stories of pioneering women adventurers, Elise shows that adventure can be for anyone, and that it’s not just about conquering or winning, but about connecting to people and the natural world. Elise's Woman with Altitude project has received widespread media attention and her writing has featured in outlets such as The Guardian, The Financial Times and The Telegraph. Elise also starred in Channel 4's ALONE, surviving 34 days in the Canadian wilderness, earning runner-up in this ultimate survival test in one of the most beautiful but challenging landscapes on earth. She is currently attempting to sit still long enough to write her first book.
