Emily Kay

Emily Kay is a Principal Geoscientist at TGS with 15 years of industry experience across geoscience, seismic interpretation, and regional basin evaluation. She holds an MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen and has worked for a range of integrated energy data and service providers, including PGS, ION, and TGS. Based within TGS’s Eastern Hemisphere Geoscience group, Emily focuses on West African basins and serves as the geoscience technical lead for TGS datasets in Mauritania, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Gabon, Namibia, and South Africa. She is passionate about translating geoscience data into clear insights that drive business value and enjoys sharing knowledge on basin evolution, prospectivity, and the role of modern imaging and geoscience workflows in reducing exploration risk and unlocking new opportunities.
