Dr. Emma Walker is Master Blender for Johnnie Walker at Diageo, where she leads one of the world's most respected whisky blending teams and is responsible for shaping the future of the world's best-selling Scotch whisky. Since joining Diageo in 2008, Emma has built expertise across every stage of whisky production, from fermentation and distillation to maturation and blending. With a PhD in Organic Chemistry and extensive technical experience, she combines scientific precision with creativity to craft innovative whiskies while preserving the consistency and heritage for which Johnnie Walker is renowned. In 2022, Emma became the first female Master Blender in Johnnie Walker's more than 200-year history, leading a team of whisky specialists responsible for managing millions of maturing casks across Scotland.
