Travel and tourism are part of my DNA. In 2003, during a bus ride from Dublin to Galway at the start of my Erasmus study abroad program, I realized for the first time that I wanted to work in this field. My family business—a travel agency and tour operator in Genoa—was my first training ground. In 2006, I moved to Trento to attend the Master in Tourism Management, which became a true turning point in my education. Through the master’s program and the inspiring community I found there, I began a journey that allowed me to face the challenges of developing a tourism destination and exploring the complexities of destination management. In the early years at the University of Trento, I worked on territorial marketing projects with an applied research approach. In 2011, I took on my first managerial role as Destination Manager in Valle del Chiese (Trentino) for three years.
