Fabricio da Silva Costa

Professor Fabricio da Silva Costa is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Griffith University and Medical Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit at Gold Coast University Hospital, Australia. He is a subspecialist in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound, with FRANZCOG, DDU, COGU and Diploma in Fetal Medicine qualifications. His clinical and academic work focuses on placental dysfunction, pre eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, fetal ultrasound, biomarkers and implementation of evidence based screening strategies in maternity care. Professor Costa has extensive experience in high risk obstetrics, fetal medicine, clinical translation and multicentre research. He has authored more than 200 peer reviewed publications and contributes to national and international guideline development in obstetric ultrasound and maternal fetal medicine. He is a Trustee of ISUOG.
