Gábor Szabó

Gábor Szabó is an advanced gynecologic sonologist and surgeon. He is a senior lecturer and head of the Ultrasound Unit in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. He completed his PhD in Medicine in 2013. His special interest is ultrasound in gynecologic diseases especially in endometriosis and oncology. He introduced a new field of gynecologic ultrasonography called pelveoneurosonography - examination of the pelvic nerves. Gábor is leading a research program in the the visualization of sacral plexus and contributing to international research studies. He is a Core member of the ISUOG AI Special Interest Group, member of the IDEA Steering Committee and board member of the Hungarian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the European Endometriosis League.
