Gemma Trailor

I’ve spent over 20 years working in data across a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, retail, utilities, digital, and risk. Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with teams across many business functions, using data to solve complex problems, uncover meaningful insights, and drive better decisions. I love the challenge of diving deep into data and finding the stories that help teams think differently. I’m passionate about supporting women in data. Having studied mathematics in a predominantly male environment and built my career in many male-dominated teams, I understand the importance of visibility, encouragement, and community. As a mum to two girls, I’m especially motivated to help create a future where more women thrive in analytical careers and have the confidence to lead. I’m incredibly proud and honoured to have been invited to speak at Big Data London and to share my experiences with the wider data community.
