George Eid

"George Eid is the founder and CEO of AREA 17, a global brand, experience and technology company based in Paris and New York. Since 2003, AREA 17 has partnered with influential organizations including OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, IEA, The Fondation Cartier, Getty and The New York Times. In 2008, he started an incubator within the studio to explore new tools and business models. Over the years, he has developed and exited several products. Most recently, Twill, a leading open-source CMS used worldwide. Before AREA 17, George spent a decade as a creative director, both client-side and in digital agencies. He began his career in theatre, later transitioning into filmmaking, including an award-winning documentary about the Palestinian–Israeli conflict. George speaks, writes, and advocates for a better internet—one that enhances life rather than distracts from it.
