Gihad Chalouhi

He is an Ob-Gyn expert in prenatal diagnosis, fetal medicine, fetal imaging, fetoscopy and fetal surgery. He has a PhD in functional fetoplacental MRI from Paris-Sorbonne University with Pr Laurent Salomon. He works since 2009 in the Fetal surgery center, in the department of obstetrics and fetal medicine of Pr Yves Ville in Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital, Paris, France. He headed the fetal surgery center and the National French Referral Centre for the Management of Complicated Monochorionic Pregnancies (CMR-STT) for 4 years. He created the first regional fetal surgery center in Lebanon, and he successfully performed the first fetoscopies in the region. He is a pioneer in the integration of simulation in Ob-Gyn ultrasound education. He is the CHAIR of ISUOG BASIC training sub-committee. He is the co-founder of SFFERe Centers in France, (Six Ob-Gyn Specialized Centers). Author of more than 85 peer reviewed journal publications and many book chapters.
