Harriet Barr is Head of Business Development and Strategy for National Security at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, with two decades of experience harnessing data and AI to enhance the safety and resilience of the UK. Beginning her career as a Data Scientist, she combines deep technical roots with strategic leadership to solve complex national security challenges, drive growth, shape capability, and accelerate innovation across mission-focused environments. Featured in Women in Data®’s Series 7 “Twenty in Data & Tech”, Harriet was recognised for elevating data and AI leadership, creating pathways for technical professionals to influence strategy and take on senior roles. She champions a culture of purposeful growth, and encourages people to step outside their comfort zone, embrace new opportunities, and empower others as they advance in the evolving world of data and AI.
