Harris Whitbeck is the Director General of the Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) and a member of the Presidential Cabinet. He leads Guatemala’s national tourism strategy, driving destination competitiveness, sustainable development, investment attraction, and international positioning. Under his leadership, tourism has become a key pillar of economic growth and global engagement for Guatemala. A former international journalist, television producer, and author, Whitbeck brings extensive experience in global communications and strategic storytelling, helping elevate Guatemala’s profile as a world-class tourism destination.
