Helen Trory

Having qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2004, I began my veterinary career in mixed practice in Cumbria before moving into small animal practice. In 2014, I opened York Vets for Pets, and I am incredibly proud of the practice and team we have built together. In recent years, I have developed a particular passion for pet nutrition and the role it plays in improving patient health and wellbeing. I am especially interested in how we can embed nutritional conversations into our practice culture, empowering every member of the team to confidently deliver high-quality, individualised nutritional advice tailored to each patient’s needs. I believe nutrition should be an integral part of everyday veterinary care, rather than a conversation that happens only when a problem arises. I am passionate about finding practical ways to make nutritional advice accessible, consistent and meaningful for every patient and their owner.
