Henry el Bahnasawy

Henry recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Free University of Berlin, Germany. He participated in the GDI Certificate Program at UC Berkeley, guided by Nicole Starosielski, where he explored digital infrastructure in West Africa, particularly countries that depend on a single submarine cable for international connectivity. He presented his research at PTC as part of the Emerging Scholar Program. He is currently interning at Oceanic Environmental Cables, a cable recovery company, where he is developing a database of out-of-service submarine cables. He is also a member of SubOptic's Sustainable Subsea Networks Working Group. Looking ahead, he plans to pursue the new 2nd-Level Master’s program in Digital Subsea Infrastructure at the University of Genoa.
