Henry John

Henry has spent over a decade working in every corner of the ski industry, from training as an instructor and fitting boots to selling holidays and testing skis; along the way, he has been able to ski all over the world, from Pacific Canada in the West to Japan in the East, via all points in between. Three years ago, Henry started Skiing Unlocked with one aim – to be your best friend on powder days. Taking everything learned over this 10+ year period and putting it all in one place just for you. Discover destination inspiration, the gear to realise your skiing dreams, and the skills and knowledge to make sure everyone gets home safe. Launching this autumn, The Skiing Unlocked Guide to Avalanche Safety is the culmination of Henry’s journey through avalanche safety. Designed to complement formal avalanche safety training, understand why avalanche safety is both so important yet so simple; learn to read and understand avalanche forecasts; see what decision making in avalanche risk terrain
