His Excellency Alexander Williams

His Excellency Alexander I. E. Williams assumed duties as High Commissioner for Jamaica to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 18 October 2023. He concurrently serves as Jamaica’s Permanent Representative to the International th Maritime Organisation (IMO) and as Ambassador to Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden. His Excellency is an attorney-at-law with more than three decades of practice in both civil and criminal law. He has specialised in civil litigation, constitutional law, commercial disputes, judicial review of administrative action, industrial relations and labour law, and has appeared as lead counsel in all local courts, up to and including the Court of Appeal, as well as before several statutory and quasi-judicial bodies.
