Huw Ringer

Huw Ringer is the Founder and CEO of Smart Associates, helping enterprises get more from their data platforms through expert management, maintenance and administration tooling, AI/ML automation, and global support services. Since founding the firm, Huw has led its global expansion - with customers now across Europe, Oceania, Asia Pacific, and the Americas. Over 30 years in data warehousing and analytics, Huw has focused on building software and services that take the time, cost and risk out of migrating to and managing enterprise data warehouse environments, and on creating value from cloud-based cognitive machine-learning services. Most recently, Huw has become a hands-on advocate for building production enterprise software with AI. He uses large language models daily to design, build and ship real products at a pace that was impossible a year ago - giving him a practitioner's, rather than a commentator's, view of where AI genuinely helps with data platforms, and where it doesn't.
