Ida Vogel

Ida Vogel, MD, PhD, DMSc, is Professor of Clinical Genetics at Aarhus University and Senior Consultant in Clinical Genetics at Aarhus University Hospital, where she leads the Center for Fetal Diagnostics. Her clinical and research work focuses on fetal genomics, prenatal diagnosis, placental mosaicism, and the implementation of advanced genomic technologies in prenatal care, including whole genome sequencing and cell-based non-invasive prenatal testing (CbNIPT). Professor Vogel has played a central role in the national implementation of prenatal genome sequencing in Denmark and leads several interdisciplinary translational research collaborations integrating genetics, fetal medicine, bioinformatics, and patient perspectives. She has authored many peer-reviewed publications within prenatal and reproductive genetics and is actively engaged in international scientific collaborations and guideline development.
