Idi Liko

Idlir Liko is currently the Head of Mass Spectrometry (MS) at the Generative Biology Institute (GBI) at EIT Oxford. His work focuses on advancing the frontiers of mass spectrometry, with particular emphasis on its application to generative biology and drug target discovery. Previously, Dr Liko served as Director of Technology, Chief Technology Officer, and co-founder of OMass Therapeutics. In these roles, he was instrumental in translating academic innovations into biotechnology applications and played a key role in advancing multiple programmes into the clinic. As a founder, he was deeply involved in fundraising across several financing rounds, as well as in building the organisation, establishing the leadership team, and shaping the company culture. During his tenure at OMass, he developed novel approaches for rapid and efficient molecular screening and target characterisation using native and affinity mass spectrometry.
